VidPlaya is a comprehensive and powerful media player that supports both video and audio files and offers a large variety of handy additional features and functions. It can play video files like AVI, FLV, MP4, MPEG, MKV, ASF, etc. and audio files like MP3, WAV, MP2, or OGG. It can even load and play movie DVDs and Blu-ray discs.

Though it clearly copies many aspects of the more popular VLC Media Player and many users would even feel entitled to say that it’s an obvious rip off, VidPlaya is also undeniably handy and feature-rich. The fact that it resembles VLC Media Player very closely in terms of both looks and functionality is not necessarily a bad thing, as VLC Media Player got its popularity on the grounds of being a high-quality product worth general appreciation. Furthermore, VLC Media Player is an open-source product that anyone can copy and improve.

VidPlaya offers a lot of additional advanced options, letting you completely control the playback of the loaded files. It also supports playlists, it can capture still frames and scenes from videos and save them to common image files, it can allow loading subtitle files, and many more. Despite its many additional features and settings, using it is very simple thanks to the neat and straightforward interface. Even beginners can use it without any problem.

To sum it all up, if you want a media player that brings all the advantages of the acknowledged VLC Media Player and a bit more, then you should take a look at this tool.

Dear Stefan Frings! Thank you for the report, Software Informer's in-built antivirus check also detected that VidPlaya includes suspicious elements. You can find the antivirus report on the download page.

VidPlaya contains a dll of my HTTP web server which does not exist in the original VLC player. Maybe the developers added spy features to the program. Why else should a Video player contain a web server?

It is a copy of VLC and another icon. It would be worthwhile if the player had another interface that was not as VLC , so my final comment is I do not like .
