Dear Stefan Frings! Thank you for the report, Software Informer's in-built antivirus check also detected that VidPlaya includes suspicious elements. You can find the antivirus report on the download page.
VidPlaya contains a dll of my HTTP web server which does not exist in the original VLC player. Maybe the developers added spy features to the program. Why else should a Video player contain a web server?
It is a copy of VLC and another icon. It would be worthwhile if the player had another interface that was not as VLC , so my final comment is I do not like .
Dear User! Thank you for the report. Yes, indeed, the software can contain viruses. Software Informer's in-built antivirus check detected that the program includes suspicious elements. You can find the antivirus report on the download page.
This is a rip-off scam of VLC to make money off of it by bundling OpenCandy. It also violates the GPL license by not linking to the modified source code it's using, but instead links to a third party site with outdated source code and binaries of VLC. This shouldn't be here, and at the very least should NEVER be installed. It can contain all sorts of nasty viruses.
